my remaining the cure/robert smith cds

i was wondering where was my 'pornography' album, then i tot i could have sold it, together with the 'the top' album.

used to hv all their albums on vinyl, like all dm, the cult, until the band died on me. ok the beatles studio albums was complete on vinyl since they stop making music b4 my time.

ill play my brother's cassette tapes on my family sansui deck, in the afternoons, beatles n bee gees casette tapes, b4 i venture into my first vinyl, the wham！ "make it big" album, bought from toa payoh central's hwa cheong music shop. i wish i could go back in time, to look around the shop again, like i would visit record&disc at god knows what that building is called that has the first toys r us, and visit dada at funan b4 even gamescore was borned.

the past has always been sweet n beautiful. melancholicky warm of the drizzle cloud, the afternoon matinee n 12 pieces of soda crackers, maybe ghost are meant for the dead that couldnt gave up the past, sad lonely n brautiful

assassin's creed revelations collectors guide

the guide was sent out from usa via normal mail from amazon on usa 15thNov. received it 2day, a nice 9days if u consider the advantage of our local time.


this is the collectors edition, which i already go ahead to get the normal version when seowchoon had it. the diff is hardcover, an interactive map, much like skyrim collector's guide, additional 16pages of extra info, and 8 map cards.


am i a fan of assassin's creed or a fan of collectors edition?

home movie for week: proof of life

quite a tradition to take breaks after completing the storyline of a game. no difference this time. choice 2day after finishing NFS: the run is a 90s lovestory by rusell crowe and meg ryan in "Proof of Life"


the last 15mins plus the closing credits has always been the highlight of this movie. a kidnap and ransom negotiator movie turned love story turned rescue mission, with cool performance by david caruso, might bore some but some watch with great love.


the movie ends with a song by van morrison, "i'll be your lover", with helicopter panning shots of south america, and rusell crowe's reluctant goodbye to meg ryan, and vice versa is a great closing.


a love story of you cant love is my kinda movie. not the soapy type tho.

NFS the Run and my driving/racing games

 

well this game is a pain in the ass, or so is all racing games to me.


i like cruising not driving. there are a few "driving" games i've tried, they all fall into the category "racing", is driving all about speed? 


well in singapore driving=speed only perhaps apply to 1/6 of car owners. 1/3 of the car owners in singapore thinks driving is about your status. that leaves the remaining 1/2 amount of car owners ....


the rest falls into category of fetching convenience ....


back to driving games, it's always about racing. "test drive unlimited 2" did had some cruising but screwed up by the schools u have to visit, which consist of racing and drifting and heavy cars, again i only wanna cruise around, in full glory textured scenery and go shopping and find nice houses, "test drive unlimited" captured that but screwed itself up in part 2.


but without speeding, racing, some modding, the selling point of the game becomes zero, but surely out there there are some gamers who loves a nice relaxing driving game, no excitement, just pure leisure, like a tour blu-ray.


and GT5 is a complete disaster. minimal street driving mostly circuit driving.


"NFS the run" is a super intense game. too much adrenaline. for the first time a driver in a driving game gets out for some action. in real action we meant, not the visit a clothing shop like the "test drive unlimited" series. maybe the concept is borrowed. and who borrowed from who, with games like "GTA" series and "LA Noire" which contains some cute driving with plenty of action still.


"NFS the Run" is about driving to beat many drivers to the end, over the stretch of USA, san fransico to new york, broken up to 10 stages, each stage bringing me heartache of failing, that i had to stop at 1/3th to replay my game with EASY mode. 


the graphics powered by FROSTBITE2, super awesome, since i couldnt afford the money and time for "BF3", opting for "NFS the run" seems inevitable. i only wish and incl many other fans, that they will patch the game with a cruising mode, or maybe a time trial mode for all parts of the race. it's a pity u cant stop by to enjoy the scenery, cos this game, it's simply awesome.


there's short cut's that i'll always miss cos we are all driving too fast. there's drifting down the mounting which i hate most. there's pursuit, even in the tightest corner. there's mob pursuit and helicopter shooting avoidance. there's petrol kiosk where u can change car to another tier. all with great beatiful scenery from day to nite to rain to snow to sunset and avalanche and explosions.


and i missed out the pre-order to get 3 extra challenges from the previous series. frankly i can beat those challenges, either car specific or they AI is too good for me. i bought the Time-Saver DLC to unlock everything, not fucking up the trophies tho.


at the final stage of the game, "ACR" and "Skyrim" awaits for their turn, vying for major attention. i'll take a break maybe, like the usual after completing the game (not platting), watch a few videos on dvd or blu-ray and push on again.

assassin's creed revelations R3

traded in 3DS nintendogs + friends and zelda at $43 for assassin's creed revelations R3 at Qisahn.com at $66. paid $23 for this game after trade-in.

this is my 3rd copy for this game. previous one which i still have is a R2 from collectors edition and sold away another R4 copy from the animus edition.

with the DLC account+region locked i am hoping i'll get to play some of the DLC is made available on the asia psn ....

let's hope so and also hope that the game save and uplay online portion are compatible with my current R2 version played on asia psn.

ahh! the irrestible force .... that'll be the title of my new blog. as the word force is used or booked by someone, i,ve replace the word 'force' with '4s', like 'may the 4s be with u' sorta thing.

so what this irresistible force? besides it being the title of a song by jane's addiction which i just bought from itunes, which obviously is an awesome song, its also the interpretation of how badly i, u, and the whole world has lost control and are sucked into non stop buyong.its such a pain to type on my phone, using the nromal format blog page intead of via an app to compose and type.
